2030, Investing for Tomorrow

The media outlets ID, l’Info Durable, and L’Agefi have partnered to officially launch the think tank “2030, Investing for Tomorrow.” This initiative aims to fuel discussions and bring together financial stakeholders around the key issues of sustainable finance. As a collective effort, it seeks to create a space for both reflection and action in response to the urgent environmental and social challenges facing the world on a global scale.

Our Ambition

In just a few years, the concepts of sustainable development and ecological transition have become essential in our societies. Driven by regulations and/or their convictions, many stakeholders have taken on these issues, seeking solutions to accelerate the transition to a decarbonized economy, while also exploring the opportunities that arise from this transformation.

Among financial actors, this trend has been evident for several years through the growing integration of sustainability criteria in financing decisions. On the other side, companies are making increased efforts to minimize their environmental and social impacts and to develop “responsible” product and service offerings, aimed at meeting the demands of consumers who are increasingly aware of these issues.

Collaborating to Transform Practices

While initiatives are numerous today, their deployment and large-scale adoption remain major challenges. Achieving the sustainable development goals set for the short and medium term, however, requires an acceleration of efforts, which notably involves strengthening collaboration among the various stakeholders in the ecosystem.

It is precisely in this context that the Think Tank “2030, Investing for Tomorrow” was created. Launched by L’Agefi and ID, l’Info Durable, this think tank aims to bring together investors, companies, researchers, and public actors to anticipate the major transformations ahead in sustainable finance, share best practices, and, most importantly, create a collective dynamic by proposing concrete solutions.

“Through this initiative, we wanted to stimulate the many debates surrounding socially responsible investment within the financial sector,” explains François Robin, Deputy CEO of L’Agefi. “Furthermore, due to our respective positions, together with ID, l’Info Durable, we aim to promote the dissemination of these reflections and anchor SRI beyond the circle of financiers.”

Visibility and Press coverage

Launched in the fall of 2024, the Think Tank currently revolves around six thematic working groups, each led by a prominent asset manager in sustainability matters. These groups will meet every two months to debate, formulate ideas, and make proposals related to their respective themes.

With continuous support from L’Agefi and ID, l’Info Durable, the results and progress of the working groups will be shared throughout the year. Each stage will be covered in the media, including the production of articles, podcasts, and videos, with the aim of reaching investors, public decision-makers, businesses, and the general public.

“Our first challenge is to animate this initiative,” says Valère Corréard, Deputy Director of Editorial Operations at ID, l’Info Durable. “Each working group has set very ambitious goals to advance key issues for the ecosystem. We will be driving the collective dynamics to achieve tangible results that benefit as many people as possible. We will also work to publicize the efforts and reflections of the different research teams as they progress, so that financial stakeholders and the general public can closely follow the advancements of the Think Tank.”

The content produced during these discussions will be shared not only on the platforms of the two founding media organizations but also on a dedicated website for the Think Tank, offering a space for exchange and monitoring for the entire ecosystem. This site will centralize publications, facilitate the sharing of ideas, and promote the solutions developed within the various working groups.

“2030, Investing for Tomorrow,” the annual event to conclude

On October 14, 2025, a major day of feedback will provide an opportunity to exchange best practices, identify signals, new trends, engage in forward-thinking, and expand on topics. The content will be enriched by the discussions held throughout the year through the 6 working groups of the Think Tank.

This key event will feature the publication of a white paper, a presentation by each working group, and the announcement of upcoming projects.

The editorial promise of the event “2030, Investing for Tomorrow”

Incorporating the “2030, Investing for Tomorrow” Think Tank, the event proposed on October 14 aims to highlight innovative initiatives related to the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues, dialogue with companies, and financing projects that support sustainable development.

Given this commitment, the interventions will focus on one of the following topics, for example:

  • Regulatory analysis
  • Supporting a company in structuring its ESG governance
  • Presenting a methodology for identifying companies leading in ESG or biodiversity issues
  • Presenting a methodology for calculating the carbon footprint of a portfolio or the social impact of a portfolio
  • Decoding your shareholder engagement policy regarding ESG matters
  • Presenting a funded project that rigorously integrates ESG issues (contributing to the creation of a district, financing an innovative company in sustainable development, etc.)
  • Supporting an institutional investor in developing its biodiversity charter
  • Etc…
